This webinar will provide an overview of solar glare from photovoltaic (PV) installations and how the Solar Glare Hazard Analysis Tool (SGHAT) can be used to assess glare and potential ocular impacts from PV systems to address recent federal (FAA, DoD) and local policies. Recent upgrades and feature enhancements to SGHAT such as automated optimization of the tilt and orientation of PV panels to maximize energy production while mitigating glare will be presented. PV systems with single- and dual-axis tracking can also be accommodated in SGHAT.
